Great – thanks for sharing!
Actually it looks like me and my male colleges in The Norwegian Society in Formal Evening dress
Do you want a link in my last post?
http://www.terella.no/2008/04/01/april-fools-day-in-norway/
That would be cool, Renny! Cool as a penguin at the South Pole :-)
I love this – my sister saw it this morning, in a rush just before she left for work she totally believed it.
I almost wish it was true! I love the thought of the penguins sunning themselves in a tropical rain forest instead of freezing in the Antarctic :-)
It’s so beautifully made too – very BBC!
Aren’t they darling! I’m always saying “When swine are airborne over central South Carolina …” … maybe I’ll change it to penguins. Thanks for sharing that.
That is sooo funny! It’s amazing what CGI can do these days. And it’s a hilarious take on David Attenborough documentaries too. (I’ve wanted to be a David groupie since about 1983…LOL!)
Jenny – they are so sweet aren’t they? And so aerodynamic!!
Teresa – What? You mean it’s not real? :-D
That’s great. I wish the little guys could fly south for the winter!
sigh … I l o v e penguins. So funny yet so serious …
Saw this on the BBC news this morning – lucky I remembered the date! Very cleverly done!
Astrid – I love penguins too – adorable :-)
Jiana – They have been showing it all day (not that I watch TV all day you understand!) It is clever isn’t it? So realistic :-)
Paul – I’d love to think of them snoozing in the sun rather than freezing in an Antarctic blizzard :-)
Trust you to be a real poisson sorry penguin!
Shame you can’t make this weekend – have fun anyway!
Kylee
I was sitting here watching it with my daughter, wondering how they did that and she says, “They just used a video of them flying through the water.” It was one of those wow-my-9-year-old-just-took-me-to-school moments.
Kylee – the penguins would love the ‘poisson’ I’m sure :-)
Sorry this weekend has not been possible but hope it is very successful for you…
Pete – of course!….hadn’t occurred to me either…guess I’ll never win ‘Are You Smarter than a Nine Year Old?’ then… :-)
Great one – if only it were true!
Read the other day about how what happens when the female penguins make they way back to the sea after mating. After a long trek across ice they stand starving at the water’s edge. They have a problem:
The need to eat and the sea is full of fish
They are good to eat and the sea is full of seals.
Who will be the first to brave it and jump in to see if it is safe?
What they do if push forward and force the first penguin in to test it out!
Nice penguins.
Oh no! The trick must be to be slow in arriving and therefore at the back – the pusher and not the pushee :-)
I like eating penguins.
They are my favourite choccie biscuit :-)
