Things that make you go 'hmm'…

Procrastination anyone?

I thought you might like to know that at last I have started work on my Etsy store. It’s quite complicated to set up but I have made a start and all being well, and if I can get my arse in gear (as we say in the UK) it should be up and running by next week. We shall see. Unfortunately this is me.

Great cartoon drawn by Dave Walker and lots more available for use on your blog at weblogcartoons – for free! I also remember buying a card by an artist called Simon Drew which featured a protest march by a load of pigs (and why not?) They were chanting

“What do we want?”

“Procrastination!”

“When do we want it?”

“Tomorrow!”

Well, I thought it was funny…

And finally…

That first comic describes me sooo much. “Hmm, this problem looks big. Maybe I’ll just check my blog comments…”

Also, he he on that protest march. :)

Yeah, I’m a bit of a procrastinator myself.

I was going to reply to your comment but I decided to go and make a cup of tea instead…….. :-)

I think I’ll decide to walk with the pigs … why is that etsy-thing so difficult? I have to say I’m not a big fan with feeding my online shop – all that editing and describing and prizing is sooo time-consuming :) Well, anyway, if you procrastinate today, you try again tomorrow ;-)

Bridget – thanks for your support and I’m glad you like the cartoons. However you see what happens when I do spring into action….

Astrid – it is difficult isn’t it? I’m sure once it is set up then it will be easier to maintain it but getting to that point is a pain :-)
If you keep putting jobs off though they get harder and harder to do somehow….

Stirlyn – a fellow procrastinator! I can see why you like these cartoons :-)

setting up those online stores can make your hair stand on end….
but I’m sure it will be worth it in the end…

What a great segue – I haven’t posted for some time, but you see, I was busy trying to get my stuff done. I had been planning on posting, but then I thought that if I commented while I was tired, it wouldn’t be entertaining and witty, so I waited until the next day. Then a few days later, I was worrying that I wouldn’t have a good excuse as to why I haven’t been commenting, so I waited some more, hoping something would come to me. Finally, I though I’d just stop in and grovel for forgiveness, but now I don’t have to because of this great post on why I can’t get my stuff done.

Great book, too. Glad to hear about the store! You are going to sell like crazy, I have no doubt about that. I’m trying to get a Cafepress store up, but the monolith won’t move over. Somebody has to format the photos, I just wish it wasn’t me. :)

Kim – Glad you like the book – good description! Setting up the store IS so complicated but I shall persevere!

Pete – Ha! Love it! If I ever used those acronym thingies I would be ROFLMAO…. but as I don’t I will just say you really made me laugh :-D

This post has taken me all afternoon so yet again, no progress….

PS: just adore that gorgeous book, so opulent, so baroque (yet more tasteful than that)! Katazome-Shi just makes me grow weak …
