This sunny book is to make up for the grey weather.
The copper ribbon didn’t arrive, needless to say, it should be here tomorrow. I had to have a ridiculous conversation with a chap on the phone discussing ribbons, as some of the colours I had ordered were out of stock. Trying to explain the difference between grape, wine, violet, purple, lupin and plum (all shades of purple I assume) on the phone, with no visual reference was not an easy task. It will be interesting to see what turns up tomorrow!
I was saving this little admission for the next time I was tagged to reveal weird/interesting facts about myself. However, I saw this cartoon and just had to share it. I am a sci-fi fan. I love Star Trek especially ‘The Next Generation’, especially Jean-Luc Picard aka Patrick Stewart. Actually, here’s two admissions. I love bald headed men. There’s a great song by Christine Lavin in praise of bald headed men (which can be bought on iTunes). Listen and laugh.
The cartoon is not about Jean-Luc though it’s about my second favourite Star Trek character, Mr. Spock. If you get this joke then you are as big a Trekkie as I am…
Kim – Thanks as usual for your kind comments.
it’s a very funny song, always makes me smile. There is another one she wrote that makes me laugh out loud every time I hear it which I must dig out and post. She is hilarious!
Jon – Thanks for the kind comments – it is a great cartoon :)
I enjoyed reading your blog too. I shall read it regularly now I have found you :)
That cartoon is awesome! I love it! I need to send this to my fellow Trekkie co-worker.
So is the song. Moving on….
I love the sunny book. Maybe a favorite. Of course, I say that about all of them.
You are always first to comment! I barely have time to click the publish button and there you are…thank you so much!
Ha! You understood the cartoon – according to the guy who drew it – that means you are a nerd. You and me both!
Tomorrow is your big day I think? Good luck with the writing for NaNoWriMo. I look forward to reading some of it….
Happy Halloween! You got a treat from me!!!

LeX – thank you for the Halloween wishes! It’s too late for me to pass it on but I will save it for next year!
NurseMyra – It is a jolly paper. I do like bright colours , I must confess. I find it hard to do ‘subtle’ :-)

But not as much as that Spock cartoon – logical, Captain!
I’m searching out the baby blue paper…

What a great book cover! Love it.
My son and I are working our way through all the old Star Treks, and we thank you for the cartoon.
Having been part of a book making workshop recently, I am especially impressed with your work, which is almost too beautiful to use.
My son and I are watching ‘Deep Space NIne’ as we speak…
I’m glad you like my books!
