Much of a muchness

Things that make you go 'hmm'…

Every cloud has a silver lining….

It’s Sunday and I was looking forward to a lie in. There is something about Sunday that makes me feel I ought to stay in bed later – even though I don’t work and could technically lie in bed as long as I like, any day of the week (apart from tennis days!), I do get up early. So I was looking forward to snoozing today but number one son – wretched boy! – had set his alarm for 6.30am and then stayed at a friend’s house last night. His bedroom is directly above mine and it kept beeping and beeping until eventually I had to get up, go upstairs and try to switch it off. Unfortunately, I only made it snooze, so 5 minutes later it went off again at which point I rushed upstairs and unplugged the bloody thing. By this time, I was wide awake so I have been making books since then and managed to finish this one and start two more.

This book has lined paper inside and if you have been following my lined paper dilemma, it has turned out very well! I used a couple of exercise books which I took to pieces and stitched. The only problem was that some of the pages needed trimming slightly as each exercise book had been stapled in one fat section so the middle pages were narrower than the outside pages (if you see what I mean) but apart from that it works very well indeed and I will be able to give Claire her book with lined pages. I might even give her this one as I like it!

I came across this and it made me laugh so I thought I would share it with you.
