Brilliant again. Have you posted a how-to on your blog? Or, what is the minimum I should buy in order to make a book like this?
I really like the fireflys.
I love the elegance of the paisley. A well matched combination of elements.
Thanks, both!
If you check out my post ‘Turning over a new leaf’ and the following one ‘Another book’, there are photographs of the process. I haven’t done a step by step ‘how-to’ though.
I can’t decide which one I prefer, they are so different! I am going to substitute wider ribbon on the white/gold book though, as I think the narrow ribbon gets a bit lost against the paisley pattern.
Hello Diane!
Really nice books. I love the paper gold and white.
I put a picture of the inside of my yellow book. but i guess i gona change the inside paper.
Hello Diane, I came viw Strugglingwriter.
I think I’d use both. The dragonfly covered one for strong stories with lots of fight and bloodshed (heehee – I have never ever written stories like those) and the nicer one for lovey-dovey stories (have not been there, either)
Chances are I’d never used any of them. I’d just adore them.
Thank you for your kind comments. I just saw what Strugglingwriter said on his blog – he is very kind too!
I’d love to know what people would use my books for. Some have watercolour paper and some have plain paper. It would be nice to think of them having great stories or beautiful pictures and paintings in them.
Clara
Your yellow book is very pretty. I hope you can find a nice paper to go inside it. When do you go to Paris?
By the way, I have ordered paper from the Paper Mojo and Paper Source web sites in the US and it is expensive to ship it but they have a HUGE range and it is shipped by Fedex so it is very fast delivery. Their web sites are amazing.
both books are absolutely beautiful. i like the “royal look” of the golden one very much! BTW, weren’t you asking for U.K. supplies lately? Couldn’t find the post again. I just came across this source http://www.charnwoodbooks.co.uk/, they say their range of bookbinding supplies is growing.
Thank you! I just checked out that web site. It looks very interesting. I shall investigate further – well spotted!
Tulibri, I just checked out your web site. I wish I could speak German! You have some really interesting photographs and I want to read what you have written! Oh well, another project…
Your blog is so fantastic that I have decided to bestow upon you the Rockin’ Girl Blogger award!! Congratulations!! I’ve enjoyed reading your blog thus far and love the visual appeal as well.
Come pick up your award at Ladybug & Co and feel free to pass on the love. (http://ladybugandco.blogspot.com/2007/09/sakes-alive-another-award.html)
Hi Diane!
I go to Paris sunday 16. Hope i don’t lost my mind and buy all pretty paper i can find.
I guess you rigth you paper white and gold was verry pretty to go inside my book. Maybe in Paris i find some thing like that.
Now i make a baby album for a little girl, i try put the picture in my blog before travel to Paris.
well I love both Diane……though the black and red would go well on my desk….and I would use it for my poetry……..
I know my daughter would love the gold paisley as her bedroom is very Laura Ashley……with fairies everywhere……she would probably use it to write in too … :)
Clara – have fun in Paris! I look forward to seeing the baby album.
Kim – they are nice but so completely different from each other. It is possible to like both, I suppose, doesn’t always have to be either ,or…!
Diane, thank you for visiting my blog! Almost always, I write a short synopsis in english on the bottom of the posts. If you have any further questions, just use the comment function (‘Kommentare’) and feel free to ask! Works faster than learning german :-)
Doh! I didn’t scroll down far enough in the first post and then just looked at the photographs in the rest! Thank you, I shall go back and check it all out again. You are right, that is faster than learning German! Especially as your English is so brilliant. Lazy? Me?
i love all of your books. You are very gifted!
Thank you! I was looking at your blog – you make some lovely things too! I have never managed to learn to crochet.
