Much of a muchness

Things that make you go 'hmm'…

Hot pink

This one really works. I saw these two papers together and knew it was going to make a nice book. These are great colours together – just my style. Not subtle in the slightest, I love bright colours.

I have been very distracted today actually reading a book for a change! I was desperate to finish ‘The Meaning of Night’ by Michael Cox. It’s the first unputdownable-read until 3am-don’t want this to end because I am enjoying it so much, book that I have read in ages. It’s set in Victorian London and is very dark and atmospheric with more twists and turns than a bag full of snakes. It has been shortlisted for the Costa First Novel award. I was astonished to discover it was a first novel – it is so accomplished. Wonderful stuff!

How funny that we both made pink books! I like yours a lot and I’m glad you managed to work out how to make the ribbon books. The book in your previous post is gorgeous too – I love that paper!

    Hi Diane,
I don’t have the eye of a critique lol, but that one definitely works and looks just wonderful, the colours blend so well together :)

Thanks! I like it. I do tend to prefer the brighter bolder ones and this definitely fits that bill!

Just clicked on the link to your blog and am happy to report that I am a Mac user (although still security conscious!) so I will stick with your other blog, I think, which is great fun and I enjoyed reading very much.

    Hi Diane,
Yes I agree, the bolder colours do blend better. Looks great.

Security blog has a few programs for Mac, sadly most users, including myself, have Windows and it’s a case of trying to avoid the pitfalls that Microsoft have created with their bright spark ideas.

At least they aren’t so inherent with Macs :o)
On the bright side, it lets me do what I am reasonably good at, got to number 4 on google search so can’t be all bad, but I’m happy just to provide useful information for those that need it :)

Having said that my Life blog is newer and has had many more visitors lol, so it’s ajuggling act hahaha

    Have a great weekend

Thank you, I love these colours too. This is one of the Indian papers I bought online from Paper Mojo in the US and I wish I’d bought more as I can’t find a UK supplier. I shall just have to bite the bullet and buy a lot more from Paper Mojo!
