Much of a muchness

Things that make you go 'hmm'…

An award! Or two.

I have been awarded a ‘Thoughtful Blogger’ award by Mark at Markeff’s Boudoir. What a star he is! This what it is all about

“For those who answer blog comments, emails, and make their visitors feel at home on their blogs. For the people who take others feelings into consideration before speaking out and who are kind and courteous. Also for all of those bloggers who spend so much of their time helping others bloggers design, improve, and fix their sites. This award is for those generous bloggers who think of others”.

I’m going to award it to

And like buses which come all at once, on the same day I was awarded a ‘Blogging Star’ award by Kim at Laketrees. Thank you! This award is said to be

for bloggers who shine their light throughout the Blogosphere. Some do it with humor, others with creativity, and others with their kind and thoughtful natures.’

Before my head gets too swollen, I am passing this on to

By the way, Kim is an award winning portrait artist who is running a great competition on her blog at the moment, to win one of her portraits. Worth checking out, just answer a question a day until the end of the month. It is a great way to get people crawling all over your blog trying to find out the answers to the questions!

There, that’s all the housekeeping done – back to my books. But first my acceptance speech ‘I’d like to thank my parents for having me….’

    Wow! Thank you!

I think artists, craft people and small businesses need all the help they can get. I try to do my small part to promote all that I find inspiring.

I’m so new to wordpress that I haven’t figured out how to search for what I want yet. I set aside time every couple of days to look at the new posts and search out new and unique treasures.

Joanne, you are very welcome. I am always impressed by the quality of the blogs I come across and bookmark. There are some very talented and humorous people out there!

Kim, My pleasure. The competition is such a great idea but must be very time consuming for you to administer! How do you find time for your portraits?!

Well, Kim, it’s all down to good time management, I’ve been told. Not that I am any good at time management myself. Too much to do and not enough time. And not enough self discipline to make myself do the boring things that need doing! I am far too self indulgent.

Sleeping seems such a waste of time – I spent last night dreaming about finding the perfect paper to go inside my latest book. I was so disappointed when I woke up and realised that a new groovy paper and stationery shop hadn’t in fact opened up in my local high street!
