Much of a muchness

Things that make you go 'hmm'…

I’ve been tagged again…

This time I have been tagged by Papermuse. (Thank you very much!)

The rules of the game: List 6 weird/interesting things about yourself and then tag a further 6 bloggers (by going to their blog and telling them to check out your blog post related to this) to keep the momentum going. List your 6 tagged bloggers at the bottom of your post.

So here goes.

1. I love stationery. I am addicted to pens, inks, notebooks and paper and all the paraphernalia, erasers, sharpeners etc. It has probably come out of my love of making books and calligraphy. Or maybe I like making books and calligraphy because I love stationery. Who can say?
2. I hate my feet, I have horrid toes. Don’t look.
3. My maiden name was Gardner, which must be the most inappropriate name for someone who is as clueless in the garden as I am.
4. I have noticed people tend not to remember me on a second meeting. I must have a very unmemorable face.
5. I hate licking wet wood. It makes me shudder just to even think of it. I hate using a wooden spoon to eat ice cream at the cinema and I always have to leave the last bit of an iced lolly in case I accidentally lick the stick.
6. I love red shoes.

I am tagging
1. Kiwipulse
2. Nature’s Paintbox
3. Markeff’s Boudoir
4. Rob Sellen
5. Dunn
6. Didi Hoffman

Beautiful books! Another one of my interests!

Thank you! I enjoyed seeing your art on your blog too!

I have been addicted to staionery shops my whole life. It irritated my ex wife to no end. Could never explain the “fix” to her. That and scratching around second hand books.

My son just asked me if I had a fountain pen as he wanted to write a ‘Thank You’ letter. Silly question, within 2 minutes I offered him 4 to choose from – and those were just the ones I could find quickly. As addictions go it’s fairly harmless, I suppose, but it can be very expensive!

And don’t get me started on books…!

Your blog looks like a fun read – I shall return to it for a proper read soon

Thank You for the tag. I still don’t like this kind of shameless promotion, but still I will try to put your tag somewhere :D

Your books are amazing. I find myself wondering, “How did she do that?” and oohing and aahing….

I love red shoes, too! I’m guessing from #2 that your ideal red shoe has closed toes?

My favourite red shoes are flat red nubuck ballet shoes. Love ’em!
Thank you for the kind comments :-)

And here I thought I was the only person whose face no one can remember…and who loves red shoes…and stationery.

    Thanks for accepting the challenge!

    Spooky!

I also taught myself to knit and knitted my (then) husband a sweater which was too small, so I unpicked it and knitted it again. He felt obliged to wear it after all the trouble I went to even though it looked very odd! Bless! Must have been love.

Number 4 in your list is very familiar too. I am brilliant at Trivial Pursuits but if someone asks me about something in a book I read a couple of weeks ago – it’s gone. I see you read ‘A Fine Balance’ by Rohinton Mistry – one of my all time favourite books. Manages to be informative, funny yet desperately sad all at the same time. A book I do remember yet re-read often.
