My mother purchased the Wii fit not too long ago – yesterday she was absolutely DISTRAUGHT after stepping on and being told that she’d gained a few pounds since her last Wii fit session, which, it added, was far too long ago.

There’s something innately disturbing to me about having to answer to a television about your physical activities (or lack thereof)….

I was waiting to make a comment on “Stand By Me”. I spent the last week forwarding the link to all the musicians I know.

I note that the previous writer has listed the absolutely amazing concert clip with Springsteen and Seeger. That one is pretty good but I have made various friends weep with the “Stand By Me” tape.

I sent it to all my musician friends and they all said “Yes! This is what it’s about, this is why we do it, this is why we love it.”

Thanks so much for all the brilliant connections, and I do think that Milo is cute. Doggie school seems like a good idea though … ;}

“Stand by Me” is one of the most brilliant things you have posted.

I always love your posts, and I am surprised that nobody has made a comment about that one!

Oh yes, Milo is cute as heck, but how could you miss the enormous emotional content of that particular piece of film.

I am the same with Layla .. had a doberman before and when he barked it was beware now I have a ‘yapper type’ .. an animal pretending to be a dog but who gives soooo much love so i can forgive the ‘yap’… almost !! ;0)

70s – it is amazing to me how much I am in thrall to this small bundle of fluff. If you had told me 6 months ago I would be the owner of a small ‘yapper type’ (to quote Eddie Izzard) handbag dog I would have laughed at you. Never mind that I would be besotted with him…
