Wii love tennis….

hearts.jpghearts_closed.jpghearts_open.jpg

I suppose this a token gesture to that dreadful day which is looming. You know the one, when greeting card companies and florists all over the world start rubbing their hands together with glee and doubling or even trebling their prices (I know, I used to have a florist business at Heathrow Airport). So in honour of the day which shall remain nameless here is my Heart book.

Now I have been looking into finding a chap for a V day date and have come up with a very cunning plan.

This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.

Unless George is getting wise to this ploy and won’t fall for it a second time….

Anyway, I’m a bit premature with this V Day talk, so I’ll change the subject. Have you got a Nintendo Wii? (OK so that was a bit of a left turn at the lights but I did say I’d change the subject…) We have just got one. I had heard that they were incredibly difficult to find over the Christmas period, so I waited until just afterwards and found one quite easily.

It was bought as a surprise for my sons but I love it so much it is ridiculous. I love Wii Sports, we play tennis, golf and bowling (haven’t tried boxing or baseball yet!) and it is almost like playing a real game. Well, without the running which was never my favourite bit anyway. It can be incredibly energetic though and far removed from sitting in front of an old style games console just exercising your thumbs! Last night, my son who is away at uni, rang to say his house mate had just brought his Wii back to the their house, so we connected them up to the internet and we were able to send messages to each other. I’m not sure if we can play games against each other as well but it would be cool if we could, I must find out. I think it’s brilliant fun for all the family. And if you were wondering why Wii consoles are so scarce…click on the thumbnail to find out.

Diane – I have every Nintendo system except for the Wii. I sooo want it, but lack the funds right now. Also, that would probably kill what little writing I do. I really want to play the Mario Galaxy game, though.

That comic was awesome, by the way.

It could be a huge time waster if you got really hooked on it! We only play when there is nothing else to do….honest…. :-)

I’ve heard that game is good, number 2 son wants ‘Mario and Sonic at the Olympics’ – more sports! We’ll be fit if nothing else – I saw a brain training game too (just in case!)

Just don’t throw the remote through the TV screen in your enthusiasm. Use the wrist rope.

Just wanted to say I liked the book too! :)

I’ve heard Mario and Sonic at the Olympics is a good game. I’ve liked all the Mario games since Super Mario Brothers in the 80s.

Kim – We have had a terrifically windy, stormy day today but it has passed over now but tomorrow they have forecast SNOW!!!

You will see a pic of new hairstyle
    a) when I have washed and styled it to my satisfaction. I did manage it yesterday and it looked OK.
    b) when I can get Number 1 son to take a photograph of me that I am happy with.
The chances of the two conditions above being met simultaneously are slim but I will keep trying!

Glad you like books. Smick. Not heard that before, is that good? :-)
Not mad about Sean, you can have him and I’ll keep George. :-)

    Thanks for the fave!

OMG…George! I’m sorry, I love your books, but you really got my attention with George. ;) And someone else mentioned Sean Connery…another one of my favorites. My other two “dream boats” are Cary Grant and Gregory Peck. I seem to either like dead guys or old ones (sorry, George, you’re not that old…about the same age as I am, in fact).

Its always great to visit and see your books – a candy for the eye. I came up with an idea (I mean I’m a digitalized person and like to have things on my computer, not in books): how about making a collage of your books as a screen saver? In that way, when I’m back in my office after a meeting or a pause; I can see your lovely and artistic books exposed on my screen!

Btw: Loved the vid – would you change your plan if I was in that car

What a nice idea , Renny! I’m very flattered that you would want to look at my books :-D I could do that easily in Photoshop, it would be a good advertisement for my books too!

If you were in the car, Renny, I would drive off with you at top speed!

Wii consoles are really easy to get hold of here in France. Never out of stock! I wonder why?
We have a home cinema screen for a TV and wondered if we could play it on there? The projector is behind a wall so it’s a bit complicated….
As for that heart book – love it!
Have you made your mind up yet about France in April?

Hey, if you are into contests there is a great contest on YouTube for Valentines Day. The contest is to create a video for the holiday. Actually its two contests, one is to make a video talking about your great love and the second is to actually do an online video proposal called “Will You Marry Me?” Here’s the URL http://www.youtube.com/greatestlovestories?cm_cid=twb8. Right now there are very few entries so you might have a good shot at winning.

    Beautiful book!

I personally don’t have a Wii but I love playing on my brother-in-law’s system. Creating the Wii Characters is too fun. Bowling is my favorite then baseball.

Lunes – you must have better things to do/weather than us! I expect it would work fine with your home cinema – it would be great on a large screen . It just plugs into the AV red/yellow/white inputs on the TV…

    Glad you like the book….

I really like the sound of France – I will read the detail again and get back to you….when do you have to know by?

JDay – you obviously haven’t been reading my blog since Christmas….

Valentines day is not a day I shall be celebrating, my great love is no more so this leap year is wasted on me, I’m afraid…thanks for the notice… :-(

I like to play tennis in Wii too! It’s fun. I’ve played bowling as well, but I still prefer tennis. You should try Wario and Cooking Mama, they’re fun too!

Yes, the boxing will be so tiring. I saw my son played it once, and he had to move both of his hand all the time…
Have you try Wii Play yet? It contains some of the games that’s fun too, such as table tennis and look a like..

It sounds like good exercise for a rainy day to me!

We had to buy another Wii Remote (the handset thing) the other day and they asked us if we wanted the Wii Remote that came with Wii Play and I said ‘no’ as I was buying two new games. I wish I had said ‘yes’ now!
