And now for something completely different….

November 11, 2007

If the last book was ‘classy’ to quote Justin at ‘Pushapixel‘ I’m not sure how you would describe this one. I don’t know why but I think of ‘The Great Gatsby’ and flappers doing the Charleston.

I don’t know what it is about the onset of autumn and the thought of winter, but I get the munchies. It’s almost as if my body is getting ready to hibernate and craves food. Unfortunately, it doesn’t crave healthy fruit and snacks it craves carbs – and chocolate. And unfortunately, I have a large supply of chocolate left over from Hallowe’en which is very hard to resist. Now that Number One son is a vegan, he won’t eat it so it’s down to me. Well, I can’t just throw it away – can I?

I didn’t see the dogs on the cover at first. That’s an interesting print.

Yes, you should eat the chocolate. Throwing away chocolate is a crime subject to fines and imprisonment. Well, in my house it is. I could never go vegan because it requires giving up chocolate. No way. :D

Ha! Thanks for that! I can eat my chocolate with impunity now…

My son has found a Fairtrade, non-dairy, organic yummy chocolate by a company called Green and Blacks which is very dark chocolate with orange flavouring. It’s called Maya Gold. I’m more of a white chocolate gal although milk chocolate does it for me as well…. :)

I was given some champagne truffles for my birthday…delicious!

I like it and my daughter would love the “pups” as she calls them. I’m going now to look at your “classy” one.

Justin – you are welcome! I would say ‘fresh’ :-)

Kelley – it is isn’t it? I enjoyed your blog – I will be back!

    SW – Glad you like it. I might do a childrens’ book….hmmm, now there’s a thought…

DrowseyMonkey – I have indeed eaten the chocolate – well it was the weekend…thank you for the award – I saw it on KIm’s blog and lusted after it I will admit – it is very classy :-)

Kim – just realised we had the same thoughts about the book – fresh it is :-)
I did – it is now past tense chocolate and I can now be a good girl and eat healthily as the cupboard is bare of all treats. I wonder how long that will last…..
